What is a Forklift Demo?

With a forklift demonstration, an equipment dealer brings the forklift to your location for you and your workers to try out in a setting that will help you evaluate its performance. This usually lasts a couple of days and is provided at no cost to you.

Kick the Tires

When the forklift arrives, the dealer representative can answer any questions you may have, and show you how the forklift operates, tell you if there’s anything unusual about the controls that you might not be used to, and describe special features, updated safety protocols, et cetera. Then you and your workers are free to drive the forklift around your facility and test it out in a number of scenarios relevant to your daily business. 

Gather Opinions to Form Consensus

Throughout the forklift demo process, you can gather the opinions of your workers and see if they have any questions or concerns about the unit. Take all this information into account when you make your decision to buy or not buy. Your workers will appreciate you seeking their input, and their opinions are very useful to you, as they will be the ones operating the machine. Other employees, such as facility managers and safety officers, can also be consulted on site or remotely.
